话说唐朝时期，长安城里住着一位富商，名叫王员外。王员外家财万贯，却为人粗鲁，不修边幅。一日，王员外宴请宾客，席间觥筹交错，好不热闹。然而，王员外却在酒桌上大声喧哗，满嘴污言秽语，丝毫不顾及宾客的感受。宾客们都感到十分尴尬，纷纷低头不语。王员外酒过三巡，竟然脱鞋赤脚，在桌上乱跳，引得满堂哄笑。如此不成体统的行为，让宾客们大跌眼镜，纷纷起身告辞。王员外却毫不在意，自顾自地吃喝玩乐，全然不知自己行为的粗鲁无礼。
In ancient China, during the Tang Dynasty, there lived a wealthy merchant named Wang in the city of Chang'an. Wang was very rich, but also rude and unkempt. One day, Wang hosted a banquet for his guests. During the banquet, much food and drink were consumed. However, Wang behaved very impolitely: he shouted loudly, used foul language, and paid no attention to the feelings of his guests. The guests felt very uncomfortable and said nothing. After a few rounds of alcohol, Wang even took off his shoes, jumped around on the table, and caused laughter in the room. This unseemly behavior was very shocking to the guests, and they left the celebration one after another. Wang, however, did not care and continued to eat and drink happily, unaware of his rudeness.

Used to describe a person's words and deeds as not conforming to the rules, unseemly.
