Legend has it that Li Bai, the great Tang dynasty poet, was invited to write a poem at a banquet by a nobleman. In order to embarrass Li Bai, the nobleman deliberately placed a wine cup filled with wine in front of him and asked Li Bai to write a poem on the wine cup. Seeing this, Li Bai calmly and collectedly picked up his brush and wrote a poem on the wine cup, the poem expressing satire against the nobleman. The nobleman was ashamed after reading it and had to retreat in frustration.
