Life was hard, they got up early and went to bed late, working from sunrise to sunset, in wind and rain, to feed and clothe their children, manage the household, and mend and patch. The children were all very sensible and helped their parents with the work, but life remained hard. To enable the children to go to school, the parents lived frugally and often did not have enough to eat and wear. Despite this, they always had a smile on their faces and never complained about the hard life. In order to give their children a better future, the parents made sacrifices. They believed that it would pay off if they just persevered. The children saw the efforts of their parents and studied harder. They achieved success in their own fields. Years later, the children all had successful careers and lived happy lives. They would never forget the sacrifices of their parents and would cherish this kindness forever in their hearts.
