Once upon a time, there was a scholar named Li Cheng who studied day and night to take the imperial examination. As the exam drew near, Li Cheng was both excited and nervous. He tossed and turned, unable to sleep, always restless. He worried about failing the exam and disappointing his parents; he also worried about passing but failing due to various unforeseen circumstances. On the day of the exam, Li Cheng arrived early at the examination hall, only to find that he had forgotten to bring his stationery. He was anxious and restless, his mind a blank. At this moment, a kind old scholar noticed his predicament and gave him his own spare writing materials. Li Cheng, now with his stationery, calmed down a bit. In this examination, Li Cheng eventually passed with flying colors and became the top scholar. From that day on, he never experienced such restlessness again.
