Origin Story
Old Zhang returned to his hometown after twenty years of absence, and the scene before him made him feel as if he were in a different world. The once-familiar village had now become a modern town, with high-rise buildings rising from the ground, and wide roads replacing the muddy paths. The creek where he used to play as a child was gone, replaced by a beautiful artificial lake. The villagers had also changed greatly; many had moved to the city, leaving only a few elderly people in the village. Old Zhang could not help but sigh; time had passed so quickly, and the changes in his hometown were so great that he felt like he had come to a strange world. He sat under the old locust tree in his hometown and recalled his childhood memories; his heart was filled with a mixture of emotions. Although times had changed, the details of his hometown were still deeply engraved in his memory. He decided to stay a few more days, to fully experience the changes of his hometown, and retrieve some long-lost memories.
