Origin Story

The annual Lantern Festival banquet at the Jia Mansion was lively. Grandmother Jia sat at the head, and the whole family was filled with laughter. Mr. Jia had to leave temporarily because of his official duties. Seeing this scene, Bao Yu ran to Grandmother Jia, pointed at the exquisite pastries in front of her, and vividly described the production process of the pastries. Then he pointed at other guests, commenting on their clothes, appearance, and manners, acting like the master of the house. Initially, Grandmother Jia found this amusing, but as she listened to Bao Yu's incessant comments, her face gradually showed impatience. Wang Xifeng beside her could barely suppress her laughter. Bao Yu even went so far as to direct the musicians, instructing them on how to play, leaving the musicians at a loss and the melody disorganized. Finally, Wang Xifeng had to smooth things over, so the banquet could continue.
