话说汉朝时期,有个叫宋忠的人,他跟博士贾谊一起到东市去拜访一位有名的占卜师——司马季主。司马季主当时正在教他的学生们关于日月运行和阴阳吉凶的知识。宋忠和贾谊被他的学问吸引住了,就问他为什么要去做这种卑贱的工作,而司马季主却捧腹大笑,说道:"你们这些高官,整天尔虞我诈,欺上瞒下,难道就高贵吗?"

In the Han Dynasty, there was a man named Song Zhong who, along with the scholar Jia Yi, went to the East Market to visit a famous fortune-teller named Sima Jizhu. At the time, Sima Jizhu was teaching his students about the movement of the sun and moon and the prediction of good and bad fortune. Song Zhong and Jia Yi were so fascinated by his knowledge that they asked him why he was doing such lowly work. However, Sima Jizhu burst into laughter and said, "You high-ranking officials, who spend all day scheming against each other and deceiving those above you, are you really so noble?"
