Origin Story

话说古代有个秀才,为了参加科举考试,日夜苦读。他写了一篇文章,洋洋洒洒几千字,自认为才华横溢,必能高中。可是,他拿到文章给老师批改时,老师看完后,无奈地摇摇头说:"你这文章,狗屁不通!"

huà shuō gǔdài yǒu gè xiùcái, wèile cānjiā kējǔ kǎoshì, rìyè kǔ dú. tā xiě le yī piān wénzhāng, yángyángsǎsǎ jǐ qiānzì, zì rènwéi cáihuá héngyì, bì néng gāozhōng. kěshì, tā ná dào wénzhāng gěi lǎoshī pīgǎi shí, lǎoshī kàn wán hòu, wú nài de yáo yáo tóu shuō: 'nǐ zhè wénzhāng, gǒupì bù tōng!'

Once upon a time, there was a scholar who studied hard day and night to prepare for the imperial examination. He wrote a long essay, several thousand words long, believing that his talent and learning would surely help him pass the exam. But when he submitted his essay to his teacher for correction, the teacher shook his head and said after reading it, “Your essay is complete nonsense!”

Usage

用于形容文章或说话不通顺,毫无逻辑。

yòng yú xíngróng wénzhāng huò shuōhuà bù tōngshùn, háo wú luóji
