Origin Story
During the Spring and Autumn Period, Yanzi, a minister of the State of Qi, was known for his outstanding talents and far-sighted wisdom. Once, Duke Jing of Qi asked Yanzi: "What do you think of the strength of the State of Qi?" Yanzi replied: "The land of Qi is fertile, the people are diligent, and the state's strength is great. However, I fear that the high-ranking officials who enjoy a generous salary only care about short-term gains and lack long-term planning. This is the greatest hidden danger for Qi." Duke Jing pondered this and adopted Yanzi's advice. He strengthened the education and management of officials, making Qi State even more prosperous.
