Origin Story
During the Tang Dynasty, there was a scholar named Li Bai who was studious from a young age, loved reading, and traveled through famous mountains and rivers for many years. His footprints covered the length and breadth of China, where he saw countless strange peaks and landscapes and heard countless moving stories. Once, he came to Chang'an and was invited to a court banquet. During the banquet, civil and military officials talked about current affairs, and Li Bai listened, feeling that much of what they said was superficial and unappealing. When it was his turn to speak, Li Bai calmly discussed, quoting classics, and told many little-known historical stories and geographical knowledge, which greatly amazed the civil and military officials present. From then on, Li Bai's reputation as "knowledgeable and widely traveled" spread throughout China.
