Origin Story
During the Tang Dynasty, a young scholar named Li Bai was incredibly talented in poetry and calligraphy. He participated in the imperial examination and excelled, achieving top marks. After his success, a confident Li Bai went to the palace for the final examination. On the day of the examination, Li Bai, dressed elegantly and confidently, entered the palace hall. He looked around and noted the presence of all officials, but none could match him. Li Bai secretly rejoiced and walked proudly. In every movement, he expressed arrogance and confidence. Sometimes he was lost in thought, other times he gazed into the distance, as if the whole world were in his hands. After the examination, Li Bai confidently awaited the result. However, the result greatly disappointed him. The emperor found his poems too arrogant and lacking in restraint. Though Li Bai was extraordinarily talented, his arrogance and self-importance caused him to miss a great opportunity. From that day on, Li Bai learned from his mistakes and focused more on self-cultivation, becoming more humble and reserved.
