In the Spring and Autumn period, there was a virtuous minister in the State of Wei named Zilu. He was honest, kind and deeply loved by the people. Once, Zilu was out on business when he met an old farmer struggling to weed on a field ridge. Seeing this, Zilu quickly went to help, and the old farmer was very grateful. As they parted, the old farmer pointed to a mountain in the distance and said, “Young man, you are like that mountain, noble and worthy of admiration!” Zilu was deeply moved and worked even harder for the welfare of the people.
