Origin Story

In the Tang Dynasty, there lived a young man named Li Bai, who showed extraordinary talent from a young age. He was not only well-read and gifted in literature, but also had an unusual musical aptitude. Once, a grand musical gathering was held at the court, where many famous musicians came to perform, playing music that was either grand and magnificent or soft and gentle, each with its own unique charm. However, Li Bai quietly played a self-composed piece in a corner. The melody was refreshing and unique, the tune beautiful and moving, unlike any other piece. As soon as the piece began, it attracted everyone's attention, even the emperor was full of praise. Li Bai's musical talent, like his poetry, was extraordinary and breathtaking. He not only gained the emperor's recognition, but more importantly, he enriched the culture of the Tang Dynasty with his musical talent. Since then, "bù tóng fán xiǎng" has been used to describe outstanding and unusual people or things.
