During the Tang Dynasty, a poet named Li Bai lived in Chang'an. One of his poems became widely circulated among the people, and it was said that this poem foretold a great drought in the future. At that time, people were half-believing and half-doubting, but Li Bai said resolutely: "The poem I wrote is true and accurate, the drought will come!" Sure enough, within half a year, an unprecedented drought swept across the entire Guanzhong Plain, and people were displaced and suffered.
