In the Tang Dynasty, there lived a scholar named Li Bai in Chang'an City. Since childhood, he loved reading, and his bookshelves were filled with various books, ranging from astronomy and geography to poetry and songs. Li Bai studied very diligently, often neglecting food and sleep, and thus his knowledge grew increasingly profound and his vision increasingly broad. One day, a messenger from the West came to Chang'an. He brought many rare treasures and also some books and scriptures from the West, among which was a book about the history and culture of the West. Upon hearing this, Li Bai immediately visited the messenger and borrowed this book. He read this book eagerly and learned much knowledge about the history and culture of the West.
