Legend has it that there was a pair of divine lovers, the man named Yulang, and the woman named Zhinü. They loved each other deeply and were inseparable day and night. Yulang was skilled in playing the jade flute, and Zhinü was skilled in weaving brocade. They often played music and wove cloth together by the Jade Pool, and their love story spread throughout the heavens, becoming a beautiful story in the world of gods. One day, the Queen Mother, in order to test their love, separated them, sending Yulang to the human world to experience life, while Zhinü remained in heaven to continue weaving. Yulang experienced many ups and downs in the human world, experiencing all the joys and sorrows of human life, but he never forgot Zhinü, his heart filled with longing for her. Zhinü also missed Yulang in heaven, weeping day and night, and the brocade she wove became even more exquisite. Finally, their true love touched the Queen Mother, and she agreed that they could meet once a year on the Magpie Bridge. From then on, every year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, countless magpies would build a Magpie Bridge, allowing Yulang and Zhinü to meet on the bridge, and their love story became a timeless tale.
