从前，在一个山清水秀的村庄里，住着一位名叫阿福的年轻人。阿福继承了祖辈留下的大片良田和一座富丽堂皇的宅院。他生性懒惰，只知道享受荣华富贵，每天好吃好喝，游手好闲，从不参与田间劳作。他认为只要坐享其成，就能永远过着衣食无忧的生活。然而，他不知道，即使是金山银山，也经不住日复一日的挥霍。几年下来，阿福的田地荒芜，家产日渐减少，最后，连维持基本生活的钱财也不剩了。他这才明白，坐吃山崩的道理，后悔莫及，但一切都太晚了。这个故事告诉我们，光说不练假把式，天上不会掉馅饼，只有辛勤劳动才能创造财富，只有勤俭持家才能获得长久的幸福。
Once upon a time, in a picturesque village, lived a young man named A Fu. A Fu inherited vast fields and a magnificent house from his ancestors. He was lazy by nature, only knowing how to enjoy the luxuries, eating and drinking well every day, being idle, never participating in farm work. He believed that as long as he enjoyed the fruits of his ancestors' labor, he could live a worry-free life forever. However, he did not know that even mountains of gold and silver could not withstand day-after-day squandering. After several years, A Fu's fields were deserted, his family property gradually decreased, and finally, he did not have enough money left to maintain basic living expenses. Only then did he understand the truth of "zuò chī shān bēng", regretting it too late. This story tells us that only diligent work can create wealth, and only thrift can lead to lasting happiness.
