Origin Story
三国时期,魏国名将关羽,以忠义著称。他曾率兵驻守荆州,抵御东吴的进攻。一次,关羽遭到东吴大将孙权的偷袭,被围困于麦城。城中粮草不济,形势危急。关羽的部下劝他投降,以保全性命。但关羽却说:“大丈夫宁可战死沙场,也不能投降敌人。我宁愿做鬼,也要做忠义之鬼!”最终,关羽战死沙场,却留下了一段忠义的故事,被后世传颂。
During the Three Kingdoms period, Guan Yu, a famous general of the Wei kingdom, was known for his loyalty and righteousness. He once led his troops to guard Jingzhou, resisting the attack of Eastern Wu. Once, Guan Yu was ambushed by Sun Quan, the general of Eastern Wu, and besieged in Maicheng. The city was short of food and supplies, and the situation was critical. Guan Yu's subordinates advised him to surrender to save his life. But Guan Yu said, “A true man would rather die on the battlefield than surrender to the enemy. I would rather be a ghost, but a loyal and righteous ghost!” In the end, Guan Yu died on the battlefield, but left behind a story of loyalty and righteousness, which was passed down through the ages.
