In a remote mountain village, there lived a family of more than ten people. Although they were poor, they lived a harmonious life. Villagers admired them for their harmony and peaceful coexistence. The head of the family, Lao Zhang, was an honest and hardworking farmer who worked hard for his family all his life. His wife, Wang Shi, was also a hardworking and kind woman who always silently supported her husband and kept the family in order. They raised three children: an eldest son who was a teacher in the village; a second daughter who married a carpenter; and a youngest son who went to the city and became successful in business. Although the children started their own families, they never forgot to respect their parents and returned to the village for holidays to celebrate with them. The family sat together by the fireplace, chatting and enjoying each other's company. Lao Zhang and his wife were content with their children and grandchildren. Although this family was simple in that era, their diligence, kindness, harmony, and respect for their parents deeply touched the people around them and became a beautiful story that is still told in the mountain village today.
