Origin Story
In the Three Kingdoms period, Liu Bei, the emperor of Shu Han, resolved to personally lead an expedition against Eastern Wu to avenge Guan Yu's death. He led a massive army toward Wu. However, Lu Xun, a brilliant general of Eastern Wu, used the tactic of fire attacks skillfully. The Shu army suffered heavy losses, and Liu Bei passed away because of the defeat. This personal campaign not only failed to avenge Guan Yu's death, but also caused heavy losses for Shu Han. It became a famous devastating battle in the history of the Three Kingdoms. This story reminds us that even with an emperor leading the campaign, one must carefully assess the situation and make prudent decisions, without being reckless and underestimating the enemy, otherwise, it might bring about even greater defeat.
