In the Tang Dynasty, there was a talented scholar named Li Bai, who was gifted in writing poetry. One day, he passed by a village and heard of an old scholar who had devoted his life to learning and written many fine works, but remained unrecognized due to his poverty. Li Bai visited the old scholar, who showed him his collection of poems. Li Bai read them carefully and praised them highly. However, Li Bai had a bad idea and secretly copied several good poems from the old scholar's collection, signing them with his own name and spreading them widely. For a time, Li Bai's fame soared, and people praised his poetic talent. But the old scholar remained unknown, his poems forgotten by the world. Soon, someone discovered Li Bai's plagiarism, causing a public outcry and severely damaging his reputation. Li Bai finally acknowledged his mistake and wrote a long self-reflection essay, hoping to gain the old scholar's forgiveness.
