During the Warring States period, there was a general named Tian Dan in Qi who led his army to resist the powerful army of Yan. The Yan army was unstoppable, and the Qi army was steadily retreating. Tian Dan decided to use a tactic of deception. He sent people to spread rumors that the King of Yan loved precious treasures, and then pretended to give the King of Yan a delicate jade cup. The King of Yan was indeed fooled and greedily desired the cup. He ordered his army to besiege the city of Qi, while Tian Dan took the opportunity to lead his army to attack the Yan army and ultimately win the victory. Tian Dan's strategy was to take advantage of the King of Yan's greed and ~, thereby winning the war.
