话说江南小镇上，住着一位老实巴交的木匠李大伯。他为人善良，手艺精湛，深受乡邻敬重。然而，村里住着一位爱搬弄是非的张大娘，总喜欢在背后说人闲话，挑拨离间。一天，李大伯和邻居老王因为地界发生了一点小争执，张大娘得知后，便添油加醋地四处传播，说李大伯霸占老王的土地，老王气得不行，要和李大伯大吵一架。李大伯为人厚道，不想和老王闹僵，便主动找老王解释，说明了事情的真相。老王这才明白，原来是张大娘搬弄是非，挑拨他们兄弟二人之间的关系。老王气愤地找到张大娘理论，张大娘却狡辩说只是说了一句实话，并把责任推到了李大伯身上。整个村子里的人都知道张大娘爱搬弄是非，从此对她敬而远之。李大伯和老王也重归于好，从此更加珍惜邻里情谊。
In a small town in southern China, there lived an honest and skillful carpenter named Mr. Li. He was known for his kindness and skill, and was respected by his neighbors. However, there was also a woman in the village named Mrs. Zhang who liked to spread gossip and sow discord. One day, Mr. Li and his neighbor, Mr. Wang, had a small dispute over a piece of land. Mrs. Zhang learned about it and exaggerated and distorted the story. Mr. Wang was furious and wanted to quarrel with Mr. Li. Mr. Li, a kind man, didn't want to quarrel and explained the truth to Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang then understood that Mrs. Zhang had misrepresented the situation, and reconciled with Mr. Li. The villagers knew that Mrs. Zhang was a troublemaker and avoided her.
