Li Bai also came to the merchant's group, and the merchant showed Li Bai all kinds of strange and unusual things and told him various wonderful stories. Li Bai not only knew these things very well but could also tell their origins and anecdotes. The merchant was amazed and praised Li Bai as a prodigy who knew everything. From then on, the reputation of Li Bai as "omniscient" spread throughout Chang'an City and became a household name.
