Once upon a time, in a small town in southern China, there lived a wealthy merchant named Lao Li, who possessed a vast fortune. His only son, Li Ming, grew up in luxury and developed a spoiled mentality. Li Ming hated reading and spent his days with bad friends, cockfighting, dog racing, lavish spending, gambling and prostitution. Although Lao Li often warned him, Li Ming ignored this and persisted in his behavior. Finally, his possessions were gone and Li Ming lived on the streets. Past wealth was like a fleeting dream. He deeply regretted it, but it was too late.
