Origin Story
During the Tang Dynasty, a young scholar named Li Bai, full of ambition and a desire for fame, traveled to Chang'an to take the imperial examination. After months of preparation, he failed. Li Bai was very discouraged, feeling that years of hard work were in vain. He strolled through the bustling streets of Chang'an, feeling like an outsider. The city that he had once viewed as the pinnacle of his aspirations now seemed like a fleeting illusion. The fame and fortune he had sought seemed unimportant. He decided to leave Chang'an and follow his dreams. He travelled across mountains and rivers and wrote many literary works that are still famous today. Even though he never attained a high position in the empire, his poems became immortal.
