Origin Story
In the Jin Dynasty, there were two wealthy brothers, Shi Chong and Shi Bao. Shi Bao, the younger brother, was a high-ranking general, a fact that made the elder brother, Shi Chong, extremely jealous. Shi Chong secretly plotted to kill his brother. One day when Shi Bao visited him, Shi Chong, while seemingly showing hospitality, had his men secretly monitor Shi Bao. Finding an opportune moment, Shi Chong falsely accused Shi Bao of treason, resulting in his execution. The story of these two brothers illustrates how sibling rivalry and the pursuit of power led to fratricide, a tragic end highlighting the cruelty of power struggles and the profound sadness of human nature.
