指把一件主要的事情了结以后，其余有关的事情也跟着了结。通常用于形容处理事情干脆利落，或者对现状彻底了断。
To settle a major issue, and thus settle all related matters as well. It is often used to describe handling things neatly and efficiently, or to completely break with the present situation.
Origin Story
话说唐朝时期，有个名叫李白的书生，他自幼聪颖好学，博览群书。然而，科举考试屡试不第，让他心灰意冷。他开始对仕途感到绝望，觉得自己怀才不遇，人生的道路似乎走到了尽头。一日，他独自一人来到黄河边上，望着奔腾不息的黄河水，心中百感交集。他想起自己曾经的梦想，想起那些年为科举考试付出的努力，想起自己被现实一次次打击的经历。他感到身心俱疲，仿佛被生活压得喘不过气来。突然，他下定决心，要一了百了，放弃所有的追求，从此隐居山林，过着与世无争的生活。他把所有的书籍都烧掉了，然后，在黄河边上写下了一首诗，表达了他对功名利禄的看破与放弃。从此以后，他过上了平静安宁的生活，虽然没有名利双收，却也找到了属于自己的人生价值。
During the Tang Dynasty, there was a scholar named Li Bai, who was intelligent and studious from a young age and had read extensively. However, he repeatedly failed the imperial examinations, which left him disheartened. He began to despair of his career prospects, feeling misunderstood and as if his life had reached a dead end. One day, he went alone to the Yellow River, gazed at the surging waters, and was filled with mixed emotions. He recalled his past dreams, his efforts to prepare for the examinations, and the repeated setbacks he had suffered. He felt physically and mentally exhausted, as if life were suffocating him. Suddenly, he made up his mind to end everything, give up all his ambitions, and retreat to the mountains to live a life of seclusion and peace. He burned all his books and wrote a poem by the Yellow River expressing his disillusionment with fame and fortune. From then on, he lived a quiet and peaceful life; although he did not achieve wealth or fame, he found his own meaning in life.
