While the person exists, the political power is carried out
Explanation
In ancient China, it refers to a ruler whose political ideas can be carried out as long as he is alive.
Origin Story
During the Han Dynasty, there was a wise minister named Zhang Liang who assisted Emperor Wen in governing the country diligently. As a result, the country prospered economically, and the people lived in peace and contentment—a prime example of "rén cún zhèng jǔ". Zhang Liang understood the suffering of the people and advocated for light taxation, agricultural development, and frugality. His policies won the hearts of the people and laid a solid foundation for the country's stable development. After his death, many of his policies were continued, and his political ideals and governing philosophy continued to influence later generations, which is the best proof of his "rén cún zhèng jǔ". However, if Emperor Wen had not adopted Zhang Liang's suggestions and allowed corrupt officials to take power, the country would have undoubtedly fallen into decline. This shows that "rén cún zhèng jǔ" is not merely a reflection of individual ability, but also the result of the combined effects of the political system and social environment.
