However, as time went on, in the Song Dynasty, people cheated each other and competed for profit, the old farmer’s good deeds were no longer remembered, the social atmosphere declined, and people's hearts were no longer pure. Even worse, some people did unscrupulous things to seek personal gain, even harming others. This made people sigh with emotion and yearn for that simple and kind-hearted era. The story of the old farmer also became a warning, reminding future generations to maintain inner goodness and protect the beauty of society.
