Origin Story
During the Spring and Autumn period, there was a young official named Zilu who had a fiery temperament and acted rashly, often offending others due to his impulsiveness. One day, he asked his teacher Confucius how to better conduct himself. Confucius did not directly answer but told him to diligently study the "Book of Rites" and explained the concept of "Keji fùlǐ wéi rén." Zilu studied diligently, gradually comprehending the meaning of "Keji fùlǐ." He started to cultivate himself, learning to control his emotions and behavior, no longer easily angered, becoming humble and polite in his interactions with others. Gradually, he changed his rough manners, becoming gentle and refined, earning the respect and admiration of everyone. He eventually became one of Confucius' favorite disciples, setting an example for future generations.
