After retiring, Lao Zhang had planned to travel the world and experience the local customs and cultures of different places. However, various unpleasant experiences during the trip left him bored and disinterested. The exotic food he had eagerly anticipated tasted bland; even the meticulously planned itinerary felt tedious. He started missing the familiar tastes and comfort of home, and his passion for travel gradually faded. Eventually, he cut his trip short and returned to the warmth of his hometown.
