In the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai. One day, he visited a friend who criticized his poems for being too unrestrained and lacking finesse. Li Bai was unhappy and retorted that his friend's poems were too rigid and lacked grandeur. A long argument ensued, only ending when Li Bai wrote a poem to refute his friend's criticism.

Usage

常用在辩论、争吵等场合,形容一方对对方的指责不服气,反过来责问对方。

chang yong zai bian lun, zheng chao deng changhe, xingrong yi fang dui dui fang de zhi ze bu fu qi, fan guo lai ze wen dui fang.
