It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, there was a scholar named Li Bai, who since childhood had the ambition to pass the imperial examination and bring honor to his ancestors. After ten years of hard study, he finally participated in the imperial examination. However, fate played a trick on him, and he failed the examination again and again, filled with disappointment and frustration. He poured all his energy into his studies, day after day, year after year, until his hair turned gray, but he still failed. Every day, he sighed in front of the mirror, feeling that his future was bleak, complaining incessantly. A once, on his way to the examination, Li Bai met an old Zen master. The master saw his worried face and asked him the reason. Li Bai told him about his experiences. The Zen master did not comfort him, but instead asked him to close his eyes and quietly feel everything around him. After Li Bai closed his eyes, he heard birdsong, smelled the fragrance of flowers, and felt the gentle breeze, his heart gradually calmed down. The Zen master said, "Life's journey is long, you shouldn't just stare at the failure before you. You must learn to learn from your failures, and keep striving to finally achieve success." Li Bai listened to the Zen master's words, and suddenly understood. He stopped complaining incessantly, and regained his spirits, and continued to study hard. Finally, through his unremitting efforts, he finally passed the imperial examination. From that day on, Li Bai's life path was no longer bumpy, he left many classic poems for posterity with his talent and learning. His story teaches us that life's journey is full of challenges, but as long as we never give up, we can overcome difficulties and achieve success.
