In the Tang Dynasty, there once lived a young scholar named Li Bai, who traveled to Chang'an to take the imperial examinations, brimming with knowledge and a yearning for a successful career. However, Chang'an was embroiled in fierce political struggles and the court was unstable. Li Bai's future was uncertain. After a long and arduous journey, he arrived in Chang'an. Yet, he found that he faced not just simple examinations but also treacherous political intrigues. The examiners were not only concerned with his scholarship but also weighed his political stance. Despite his outstanding talent, Li Bai could never quite grasp the currents of the court, his fate like a drifting boat tossed about in the turbulent political tide. In the end, despite showcasing his exceptional abilities, he was unable to achieve his ambitions because of the political whirlpool he was caught in, his destiny remaining uncertain. Years later, he retired to the countryside, where he wrote many poems that have been passed down through the ages. Though his career in the court was not entirely successful, he achieved extraordinary success in the field of literature.
