Origin Story
In the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods of ancient China, wars raged between states, and people were displaced and suffered greatly. A small village, once peaceful and harmonious, knew no peace after a neighboring army invaded. Every household closed their doors and windows tightly, and nights were filled with fear that the war might spread to the village. Men took up arms to defend their homes, while women prayed day and night for the war to end. Children could no longer play carefree; their young faces were etched with fear and anxiety. The once joyful village was now silent and still, only the wind howled, seemingly narrating the tragic reality of a country without peace. Fields lay fallow, harvests were poor, and many families were starving, with famine and suffering everywhere. The cruelty of war had turned this small village into a living hell.
