Long ago, in a remote mountain village, lived an old farmer named A Fu. He was diligent and kind all his life, and he avoided disputes. Although his land was not large, the harvest was always good, and he lived a peaceful and harmonious life. The villagers respected him very much because he was always willing to help others and never cared about personal gains and losses. A Fu's wife was equally kind and virtuous. They lived together in love and ran this small family together. Although their house was simple, it was always clean and tidy, filled with a warm atmosphere. The children were also very sensible, diligent and studious, bringing endless joy to the family. In all four seasons, they worked hard in the fields, sowing, harvesting, and weeding. Although life was hard, they felt incredibly happy and satisfied. Because they knew that as long as they were diligent and willing to work, they could certainly live a good life. One day, a fortune teller came to the village. He told A Fu that his family would encounter a great disaster. After hearing this, A Fu did not feel scared, because he believed that as long as his family was united, they could overcome any difficulty. Sure enough, not long after, a plague broke out in the village, and many people died from the disease. But A Fu's family was fortunate enough to escape this disaster. They supported each other, encouraged each other, and got through this difficult period together. After this disaster, A Fu's family cherished their current life even more. They became more diligent and kind, and loved life even more. Their lives were simple but full of happiness and joy. They knew that peace and quiet were hard-won and needed their joint efforts to protect.
