Origin Story
Legend has it that during the Han Dynasty, there was a man named Deng Tong who enjoyed the emperor Han Wen Di's favor. The emperor bestowed upon him a copper mine, and through this mine's immense wealth, Deng Tong accumulated countless treasures of gold and silver, his riches comparable to those of a nation. He built numerous magnificent palaces, employed thousands of servants, and lived a life of extreme luxury. However, he was not satisfied and continually expanded his influence, attempting to rival the state. Ultimately, he was killed by a powerful minister, and his wealth became a fleeting dream, serving as a cautionary tale to future generations about the ephemeral nature of wealth and the dangers of greed.
