Origin Story
Scholar Li Bai, in his early twenties, was already a famous poet. He was naturally unrestrained, ambitious, and longed to travel the world with his sword, experiencing the vicissitudes of life. One day, he bid farewell to his family and embarked on his journey. Along the way, he met an old Taoist priest. Seeing his debonair manner, the old Taoist priest presented him with a sword and cautioned him: "This sword is an ancient divine weapon; it can slay demons and protect you. But remember, do not use it lightly or abuse it, otherwise you will suffer its backlash." Li Bai respectfully accepted the sword, filled with gratitude and responsibility. In the following years, he travelled across mountains and rivers, writing countless popular poems, making him famous throughout the land. Once, while passing through a mountain village, he encountered a group of bandits who robbed travellers. Although Li Bai was not skilled in martial arts, he remembered the old Taoist priest's words. Without hesitation, he drew his sword and confronted the bandits. Using the power of the sword and his own wit, he successfully defeated the bandits and rescued the villagers, ultimately continuing his journey safely. This experience made him understand even more profoundly the meaning of the sword and his own responsibility. From then on, he cherished his talent even more, using it for the benefit of the people, serving the country loyally, and finally becoming a generation's immortal poet, his name remembered through the ages.
