Origin Story
Once upon a time, there was a village that was frequently attacked by floods, and the villagers suffered greatly. A young scholar named Li Shan observed that there was a lot of loose soil on the mountain upstream of the village. Once it rained, this soil would be washed down, blocking the river channel and causing floods. So he organized the villagers to plant trees on the mountain, consolidate the mountain body, and dredge the river channel. This project cost a lot of manpower and material resources, but Li Shan insisted on it and did not charge the villagers any fees or ask for any reward. After several years, the village was no longer hit by floods, and the villagers lived a stable and peaceful life. Li Shan's good deed, beneficial and effortless, was admired and praised by the villagers.
