Origin Story

The famous Tang Dynasty writer Liu Zongyuan, when writing an epitaph for his friend Lu Wentong, once wrote: "His books filled the houses, and the oxen sweated during transportation." Lu Wentong was diligent and studious all his life, and his writings were quite abundant. His collection of books was so large that it could be described as "hanniu chongdong." How many books did he have? His house was filled with books, the oxen sweated while transporting them, and the books filled his house. This story not only shows us the diligent spirit of Lu Wentong, but also the vivid and picturesque expression of the idiom "hanniu chongdong." Han Yu, one of the eight great writers of the Tang and Song Dynasties, also left behind the famous saying: "There is beauty in books, and there is wealth in books." This shows how important reading was in ancient times. Knowledge is still an important way to change destiny today. We should cherish our time, study hard, and enrich our lives with knowledge. Like Lu Wentong, we should write books that are so numerous that they fill the house, leaving precious cultural treasures for posterity.
