Lian was born in a picturesque water town in southern China, and from a young age she was deeply attached to every tree and plant in her hometown. However, a sudden war shattered her peaceful and tranquil life. Her home was destroyed, and her parents died. At the tender age of ten, Lian became a refugee, starting a life of displacement and hardship. She begged on the streets, enduring hunger and cold. Countless times, she recalled the warm sunshine, the clear river water, and the familiar dialect of her hometown. However, the harsh realities repeatedly dashed her dreams of returning home. She wandered through various cities, surviving alone among strangers, tasting the bitterness and sweetness of the world. But she never gave up hope for the future. She believed that one day, she would return to her hometown and live a happy life.
