Lao Zhang worked in a small company, diligently for many years, but never got a promotion or raise. Watching those colleagues who were less capable than him but got promoted and raises because they were good at flattery, Lao Zhang felt full of grievances and dissatisfaction. Back home in the evening, he complained to his wife about the various unfairnesses at work. His wife advised him to be more open-minded, but Lao Zhang became more and more excited, full of complaints, with a bellyful of bitterness he couldn't express. He felt like an exploited camel, bearing a heavy burden but seeing no hope. He began to doubt whether his efforts were worthwhile, whether he should continue to stay in such a company. He even thought about resigning and finding a better job, but considering his family responsibilities, he had to continue to persevere. He went to work every day with a heavy heart, full of complaints, but could only silently endure everything.
