Origin Story
In ancient China lived a talented scholar named Li Bai, whose brilliant writing was overlooked during the imperial examinations. One day, drinking with friends, he overheard officials at a nearby table discussing court affairs, their words filled with flattery and disregard for the suffering of the common people. Li Bai’s anger boiled. He stood up, his voice ringing with righteous indignation, reciting his poems to voice his outrage. The tavern erupted. His friends warned him of the danger but Li Bai, his heart aflame with justice, refused to back down. Eventually, he was imprisoned for his boldness. Yet, even in jail, he had no regrets, for he felt he had done the right thing.
