Once upon a time, there were two villages, one in the mountains and one by the river. The mountain village lived by growing fruits and vegetables, while the river village lived by fishing. The two villages were not far apart, and although their lifestyles were different, their lives were almost the same, and their levels of wealth were almost identical. In good years, the mountain village had a bumper harvest of fruits and vegetables, and the villagers were happy; in bad years, the harvest was poor, but the villagers were only slightly worried. In the river village, when the fishing was good, every household was full of joy; when the fishing was poor, the villagers were not too sad either. The villagers of the two villages often visited each other and helped each other, and their lives got better and better. Although their lifestyles were different, their happiness index was almost the same, and they all lived a peaceful and prosperous life.
