Origin Story
晋朝大书法家王羲之，有一次和朋友们在一起饮酒作乐。他的小儿子王献之也来凑热闹，正巧看到朋友们在玩骰子，便在一旁兴致勃勃地观看。他见一个朋友摇出三个点，便随口说道："南风不竞！"在场的人都笑了，说："孩子啊，你这是管中窥豹，只见其一斑啊！"原来，王献之只看到了骰子上的三个点，而没有看到骰子的其他面，便凭着这三个点，便瞎猜。这说明王献之虽然聪明，但阅历不足，对事情的了解不全面，所以才会说出这样可笑的话。
Wang Xizhi, the great calligrapher of the Jin Dynasty, once drank and had fun with his friends. His young son, Wang Xianzhi, also joined in the fun and happened to see his friends playing dice, so he watched them with great interest. When he saw a friend roll three points, he casually said, "The south wind is not competing!" Everyone present laughed and said, "Child, you are only seeing one spot, like looking at a leopard through a pipe!" Wang Xianzhi only saw the three points on the dice, but not the other sides, and guessed randomly based on these three points. This shows that although Wang Xianzhi was intelligent, he lacked experience and his knowledge of things was not comprehensive enough, so he was able to say such ridiculous words.
