Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a kind and hardworking farmer named Old Zhang. Old Zhang was a good man, he lived peacefully and never caused any trouble. However, there was a wicked landlord in the village, he bullied the people, was rampant, and did many evil deeds. Old Zhang tried to persuade the landlord to reform many times, but the landlord ignored him and became even worse. One day, the landlord sent people to plot against Old Zhang, intending to seize Old Zhang's hard-earned property. Old Zhang resisted bravely, but was severely injured by the thugs sent by the landlord. When the news spread, the whole village felt sorry for Old Zhang. And the magistrate also learned about the matter and immediately ordered the arrest of the landlord. The landlord was finally severely punished by the law and received his deserved retribution. After this incident, people said that the landlord's evil deeds deserved their punishment.
