Origin Story
In the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai who was devoted to his poetry and often ignored other things. One day, he heard that his friend Gao Shi had passed the imperial examination, but he didn't go to congratulate him, continuing to write his poems in his study. After a few days, he heard that Gao Shi was demoted for offending the powerful, but Li Bai still ignored it and continued his work. Many people criticised Li Bai for being unsupportive of his friends, but Li Bai didn't care. In his view, only the creation of poetry was the most important thing in his life; everything else was insignificant.
