Once upon a time, in ancient China, there was a talented man named Chunyu Kun. He was not only exceptionally gifted but also possessed extraordinary eloquence. He often served as an advisor to King Wei of Qi, helping him solve many challenging problems. On one occasion, when the kingdom of Yan launched an attack, King Wei was deeply worried. Chunyu Kun stepped forward, volunteering to travel to other states to seek alliances. With his exceptional oratory skills, he persuaded the various princes to unite against Yan, successfully averting the crisis. Chunyu Kun’s eloquence saved Qi and earned him great fame, becoming a model for generations to come.
Usage
能言善辩常用来形容一个人口才好，辩论能力强。多用于褒义，但也可能用于贬义，例如讽刺某些人巧言令色，夸夸其谈。
eloquent is often used to describe someone who is skilled in speaking and arguing. It is mostly used positively, but it can also be used negatively, for example, to satirize people who use clever words and empty talk.
