Origin Story
In a small village, there lived a young scholar named Zhang Tie. He was naturally intelligent and studied diligently, passing the scholar examination at a young age. However, Zhang Tie was arrogant and looked down upon the other villagers, believing his knowledge and talent to be far superior. One day, an older scholar came to the village, experienced and wise, but humble and kind. Zhang Tie went to visit him, secretly despising him, believing him to be a mere charlatan. In their conversation, the older scholar's insightful remarks and vast knowledge surprised Zhang Tie, who had expected to easily refute him. The older scholar realized Zhang Tie's arrogance and advised him: “There are always those who surpass you. Never be complacent; maintain humility and caution to continually progress.” Zhang Tie was deeply affected and changed his arrogant attitude, diligently pursuing knowledge and becoming a talented and virtuous individual.
